To better serve its customers and to meet increasing demand for Vi-Lux cellular PVC products, new production equipment is being added to the Napanee plant. A new 3.5" extrusion line will be operational in early 2004, just in time for the busy season.

The County of Lennox and Addington presented its 2002 Awards for Manufacturing Excellence at a gathering held at Loyalist Country Club in Bath recently. Warden Clayton McEwen presented awards, which recognized success in exporting, site enhancements, commitment to employees and community, and company growth.

Vi-Lux Plastics was named Exporter of the Year. The company exports throughout the United States. Warden McEwen noted that since purchasing the company in 2002, the new management group has increased sales 30%.
